Shared emergency support

La Despensa keeps urgent help moving when one family cannot wait.

La Despensa is a shared pantry for moments when support slows down, winter makes daily survival harder, or a family needs help before an individual campaign can move fast enough.

Why it exists

Some needs cannot wait for visibility.

Family campaigns do not all move at the same rhythm. Some receive attention quickly, while others slow down even when the need is still there. La Despensa exists as a shared response: food, warmth, basic supplies, emergency cash support, and quick help when the situation becomes too urgent to wait. It does not replace the individual family campaigns. It protects the spaces between them.

Winter

Cold changes the urgency

When tents, clothing, blankets, and fuel are not enough, cold becomes an immediate danger for displaced families.

Balance

Support is redistributed with care

The pantry helps respond when one family has been left outside the usual flow of donations or attention.

Continuity

It keeps the work from stopping

Shared support gives the team room to act while each family campaign continues to be followed individually.

How to help

Use the campaign link when you want to support the shared pantry.

Donations through the La Despensa campaign are treated as shared emergency support for families accompanied by Mama Kamela. The team uses this path when the need is urgent, uneven, or not tied to one single public campaign.
